Sustainable Architectural Lighting

Whether you're an architect looking for a consultation or a business owner looking to reduce energy costs and carbon footprint. My work in high end residential lighting, national retail and special installations gives me the experience to bring creative solutions to your next project. It is my belief that sustainability is a requirement for good lighting design. When you bring me on as your lighting designer services include the following. 

• Intial Survey of space and existing lighting (if applicable)
• Sketches, Drawings, and Formal Design Documentation to express design intent to the rest of the team as well as the general contractor
• Specification of all lighting fixtures, fittings and sources used on the project. 
• Sample reviews of all fixtures and sources as required
• Construction review (punchlist) prior to contractor turn over
• Lighting Focus, Aiming and on site documentation
• Design Maintanence is provided over the life of the installation as a seperate service

Base Rate for Lighting Design on Architectual Projects is $100 per hour. Special exceptions are possible for certain clients (generally non-profit or other special case). 

Special Events 

• Conferences, Trade Shows, Product Launches...special events come in all shapes and sizes. I love to bring my background in theatrical lighting, my passion for sustainability and my love of collaboration to special events of all shapes and sizes. • Collaborative Concepting with the rest of the design and production team
• Renderings/Sketches and Concept Images and meetings to translate design intent to the client(s)
• Production drawings including lighting plots, instrument schedules and focus charts. 
• Coordination of lighting rental, load in and load out
• On site lighting focus
• Review and Post Mortem

Rates for special events are usually one-time design fees and depend on the scale and scope of the project. Additional fees for gear rental, labor, travel and materials often apply. 

Live Entertainment and Video Production

I've spent over a decade lighting theatrical productions all over NYC. I love the arts and I love being a part of live entertainment. My background spans from avante garde theater in Williamsburg to Off-Broadway theater in Midtown. I've worked on major television productions and I love to collaborate. Bring me into your production team and I'll provide the following: 

• Early Concepting and collaboration with production team, including renderings, sketches and concept images
• Production Drawings and Specification
• Rental management and coordination
• Load In and Load Out Management
• Personal attention to lighting focus and technical rehearsals all the way to opening night

Rates are negotiated on a project by project basis.
