Office Lighting hasn't changed much since the days of Mad Men. At least Don has a desk lamp.
There was a time when most work occurred in factories at that time good lighting was simple. As long as people had enough light to see their work clearly, the space was well lit. The brighter the better. As the nature of work has evolved, we have seen that the quality of lighting has caught up.
This is an essay about why we need to rapidly improve the quality of lighting in the space we work. If we want the companies of tomorrow to create amazing new products and services then we need spaces that foster focus, creativity and productivity. Lighting is integral to that.
